Fun Kids!

This crew is a constant crack up. They played dress up with Tevin one day, practiced their singing and dancing, and had fun at a Utah Jazz game. All good times! Tevin also had his six month birthday cake!

Christmas 2007 at the Kayembe's

We were fortunate enough to have the four youngest kids stay with us for Christmas this year. They had a great time at the Clayson/Guilbert/Andrus family Christmas Eve party with pinata included! They were up early and ready to go. Check these happy faces out! Tevin also got his two front teeth on Christmas!

Tevin's Blessing

We had Tevin's blessing in September. It was a great day with lots of family and friends. We were so glad many could come and share in our special day. Dahlia got to stay with her mom and visit in Arizona so we missed her but were glad she had the opportunity. Enjoy the pictures!

The Cheerleader-Lady Di!

Diane is our brand new 13 year old as of March 17th! Yahoo! Luckily she's the teenager that is infectiously giggly and never never stops talking. I'm so lucky! Diane also stays with us during the school year and has A grades due to her hard work. Yes, that makes four children versus 2 parents so we are frequently outnumbered, but not outsmarted-hah! I'm sure this will change over time. Diane is in a competitive cheer and tumbling team and is their star tumbler. She's preparing to try out for the 8th grade cheer team on April 25th. She says she'll make her dad proud for his birthday that day. Diane is very responsible, trustworthy, and a dedicated big sister. She constantly helps around the house and is becoming quite the chef! We love her tons!

Our Dilly Dally!

Dahlia is our little 9 year old Diva of the house! Dahl is always good to have the biggest most contagious smile. She is our singer, actress, songwriter of the group. Dahlia recently wrote a song and a tune for the school reflections contest and won an honorable mention trophy and ribbon. She is an A student and excells in reading. She loves to be around the other kids because she usually always has someone to do something with. One of her favorite things to do is play Next Top Model with Grandma Guilbert. They are soooo crazy! They make up all kinds of contests and scenarios. She's one of a kind and we are so glad to have her with us!

Tristan and Footbal, Football, Football

Our Tristan is now 10 years old! He lives with us and attends school in Utah. He is an excellent student, a terrific brother and son, and OBSESSED WITH FOOTBALL! We can't turn on a tv in the house without ESPN popping up. Any day Tristan has a new football fact. He has played for two years in the local teams and this year two coaches actually got in a fight over who got him. He got full game playtime with positions on offense and defense and couldn't have been more exhausted and delighted. Tristan had some friends over for his November birthday and Grandma and cousin Krissie, and Uncle Matt came to celebrate. It's always fun when the gang gets together. Tristan has been so helpful with shoveling the tons of snow we got this year and can be counted on to provide some muscle!

Our new addition! Tevin Robert

We had a new addition to our family this year and he was quite the suprise! Tevin Robert Kayembe was born June 3, 2007 and we can't get enough of him. He was 7lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. Our little Tevi has lots of dark hair and was such a peaceful and content baby. He started sleeping through the night when he was 3 months old and has been nearly consistent since. He got early visits from Aunt Jennie and Uncle Matt's families. Grandma Guilbert came and stayed with the kids while Bosco and I were at the hospital and the kids thought they had died and gone to Heaven with Grandma's good cooking! Thanks to everyone's long hours of work finishing the basement and repainting the upstairs Tevin had a beautiful new room to come home to, and the girls each got their own rooms in the basement. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this big task. Aunt Dolores and her family came to visit from Canada and that was a nice treat. Grandma and Grandpa Bauer also came to visit from Canada and the kids loved every minute! Since all of this has happened, Tevin is now 9 months old with the absolute cutest personality. He loves all his big brothers and sisters and learns something new from them every day. He is crawling so fast, scaling the furniture, doing death dives off the beds and couches, and trying to eat table food (naughty daddy!). Bosco can't get enough of Tevi and the same for little Tev. This morning Tev came into the big bed for an early bottle and some snuggle time but much to mommy's dismay Tev crawled over to dad and layed across his tummy and fell right back to sleep. Oh how fast they grow!

Getting on the blog train!

I guess I'm a little out of the blog world. I'm jumping in and we'll see how I do! Hopefully this will be a good way to get pictures and updates to everybody!
